At the rear wheel of the Vässla Pedal is the powerful 250W/45Nm rear hub motor. Since there is more weight at the back of a bike, we have chosen to have rear-wheel drive on our Pedal. This provides more grip on uneven surfaces, thereby minimizing the risk of skidding and delivering better forward power.

The design of Vässla Pedal

Vässla collaborated with product design genius Christian Zanzotti to develop the Vässla Pedal. His broad field of work ranges from cars and mobility to furniture, consumer goods, and lifestyle products, and he has previously worked with international clients such as BMW.

Our internal development and design studies challenge the status quo in materials and manufacturing techniques, which in turn form the foundation for Vässla's groundbreaking product development.
